This historic mountain hut has been welcoming guests from near and far since 1906! Our full-service restaurant features a beautiful sun terrace and serves traditional Austrian cuisine. Inside this historic building, you can immerse yourself in the past. Pictures, furniture, and antiques tell stories of days gone by and the imperial era. Since 2026, the Kaiser Franz Josef Haus has been part of the exhibition “Summit Meeting of Their Majesties” and offers insights into the cuisine of the Emperor of Austria.

The Panorama Restaurant is located right next to Parking Lot 3 at Kaiser Franz Josefs Höhe. You can reach the restaurant easily by elevator, enjoying spectacular views along the way. The Panorama Restaurant specializes in tour groups and can accommodate groups of any size! Reservations are available and highly recommended! A shuttle service takes guests directly from the bus parking lot to the Panorama Restaurant. You’ll also find our comfortable guest rooms in the Panorama Restaurant and Hotel!

The Glacier Restaurant is located right next to the Kaiser Franz-Josefs-Höhe Visitor Center. It’s just a few steps from the free parking garage to the restaurant. As a quick yet high-quality self-service restaurant, it’s the perfect place to grab a bite, relax, and enjoy the view! The terrace is spectacularly situated on the cliff overlooking the glacier. You can’t get any closer to the Glockner and the Pasterze!
